| The Hal Jackman Foundation encourages
and supports artistic creativity by providing grants
for a wide range of cultural projects in the fields
of visual art, music, opera,
dance, theatre, film and the literary arts.
The Foundation is also interested in projects that
are interdisciplinary or collaborative in format.
While seeking to promote the creation and presentation
of contemporary works, the Foundation also issues
grants to organizations engaged in the re-envisioning
of traditional or classical repertoire. Priority
is given to projects that demonstrate artistic
excellence and that encourage dialogue between
the artists and the public.
The Foundation also supports efforts to advance
learning in the arts, to broaden audience development,
and to make the arts an active part of people’s
everyday lives. |
